The Boone County Schools Mental Health Coalition is a multidisciplinary, collaboration among Boone County’s six independent school districts, The University of Missouri College of Education (COE), Department of Educational School and Counseling Psychology (ESCP), the Missouri Prevention Center (MPC) and the School of Social Work (SSW). The Coalition was funded by Boone County to implement an innovative pilot program to train school-based personnel to implement programs with school-age youth proven to promote mental health and well-being. In 2022, the Coalition merged with the Family Access Center of Excellence to form FACE School-Based Services. FACE School-Based Services consists of 2 branches of service providers: Regional Coordinators and Family Intervention Specialists.
